M. (Martijn) de Klerk (MSc.) is an environmental scientist specialized in environmental technology, wastewater treatment, renewable energy and project management. He received his master degree in Environmental Sciences at Wageningen University, after finishing his bachelor at HAS University of Applied Sciences. During his (foreign) internships and theses he independently planned and conducted scientific research. These research projects were all closely related to water. For example, in Australia he used a computer model to simulate the spreading of pathogens in surface water, in Italy he worked on improving the nitrogen removal efficiency of a wastewater treatment plant, and at Wageningen University he studied the effect of a chemical dispersant on the biodegradation of oil in sea water. Furthermore, he has a lot of experience in planning and organizing projects, and worked both as a consultant and scientific researcher.
